Bishop Francis Wale Oke (born September 8, 1956) is a Nigerian pastor, evangelist and author. He is the founder of the Sword of the Ministries International. He has brought millions of people together through his mass crusades and prayer programme.

Early Life

Bishop Wale Ole was born on September 8, 1956 in Kasumu Village, Oyo State, Nigeria. He moved to Ibadan where he attended Wesley Teacher’s College and then Polytechnic before he gained admission into the University of Lagos where he studied Land and Engineering Survey.

Bishop Wale Oke holds daily broadcast on Nigeria national radio and television stations FRCN and NTA, Ibadan. He is the founder of the International Bible College of Ministries and Seminary (IBCOMS).

He is well known as the founder of the Sword of the Ministries International with its headquarters at Ibadan City, Oyo State.

He founded Christ Life Church in 1999 and has grown to over 200,000 branches located all over Nigeria.

Personal Life

Wale Oke is married to Victoria Tokunbo Oke and their union is blessed with children. He lost his daughter Dorcas Oke in 2001 and he has a son named Isaac Oke.

Awards & Recognition

Francis Oke got an honorary doctorate under the auspices of Oral Roberts University for his outstanding contributions to world evangelism in November 1991 and also received an award for the outstanding contributions to religious harmony and human contribution at the prestigious Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s (FRCN).
