CALLING FORTH THINGS THAT BE NOT
BIBLE READING: GENESIS 17:1-9
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it’s fruit. Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)
If the words of Jesus are spirits and are alive, then so are yours. When you call someone’s name, it is expected that the person responds to your call because he/she heard you. You released words and the target heard those words and responded. This is the same thing that happens when you are expectant and you release words, you call that thing into physical manifestation because it already exists in the spirit. 2 Peter 1:3(NKJV) tells us that, “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness…,” so if you have not started seeing your things, call them forth and they will show up.
If we search the Scriptures, we will see that God does not wait for things to happen before He speaks of them, He calls them into existence. He tells you how you are a mother of many even when you cannot yet conceive, He tells you how great you are even when you are still struggling to find your identity, He calls you rich when you have no money in your account, He says you are healed when you cannot stand on your feet, He calls you courageous when you feel paralysed by fear.
In Romans 4:16-17(KJV) we read, “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him who he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”
As christains, our lives are not governed by the things we see. We do not walk by sight because the things we see have no foundations. 2 Cor.4:18(KJV) says; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
God spoke the world forth eons ago and it is still in existence. By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.(Heb. 11:3 MSG) Through faith, you can look at the things that the physical eyes cannot see and call it forth, it will answer to you.
Look around you, are there things you are yet to see? It is time to call them into being.
•Ask the Lord to open your eyes to the riches you have in Christ.
•Spend some time praying in the spirit and calling forth those things that have lingered.
