HOW TO END THE YEAR PROPERLY (2)
BIBLE READING: HAGGAI 2:7-9
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly. Job 8:7(NKJV)
We established yesterday that, better is the end of a thing than the beginning. Our key scripture has provided further insight that will help us to understand and end the year properly. You may have concluded or currently entertaining the thought that 2020 brought more harm than good because of your personal experiences. Remember you must not judge God by your experiences because God can only be judged by His Word; which is a more sure word of prophecy. The fact that 2020 may not have delivered all your expectations, remember that the latter part can still deliver abundant increase. We will therefore continue our discussion on the principles that will ensure that the end of this year is better than the beginning, do these:
1. BRING A WORTHY THANKSGIVING: I Chronicles 15:26-28, 16:1 And so it was, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bulls and seven rams. David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the music master with the singers. David also wore a linen ephod. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps. So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
David seeing that God has made him King brought a worthy thanksgiving.
If we read on, we will see that David sacrificed a bullock every seven steps, now that is a worthy thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is always in appreciation, for what God has done, is doing and will do for you.
2. GO SEE YOUR PARENTS (spiritual and physical): To end the year on a perfect note, take time to go and see your parents. The Bible says honour your father and your mother that it may be well with you on the earth and that your days may be long. To end the year well, go see both your physical and your spiritual parents. Make sure you take something to honor them and your year will be crowned with goodness. Neglecting your physical or spiritual parents will not evoke the full dimension of the prophetic to push you into the next level or cause a supernatural shift.
As you visit your spiritual or physical parents with thanksgiving, appreciate their labour of love, and be mindful to honour them so you can provoke them to bless you from their spirit.
As you prepare your thanksgiving offerings to God, make arrangements for both your physical and spiritual parents. Endeavour to provoke them to bless you from the depth of their hearts.
