KEYS TO MULTIPLICATION: WINNING WITH OTHERS
BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 32:30; GENESIS 11:6
“Then the Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.” Acts 6:7(NKJV)
The Lord God Almighty is a God of Plans, Purposes and Strategies. The Scripture, referring to the Lord Jesus, calls Him the “Extraordinary Strategist”(Isaiah 9:6 NET). This serves as a reminder of the limitless methodologies with which He accomplishes various aspects of His Counsel. One of the Strategies with which God builds up His Kingdom is Spiritual Arithmetic which is broken down into Addition, Subtraction, Division and Multiplication. According to Genesis chapter 1 verse 28, only that which is fruitful is capable of multiplying, hence the need for us to focus on the keys to multiplication.
One of the major keys to Divine Multiplication is teamwork which creates synergy. The Bible asks an extremely timeless question: “Can two work together unless they are agreed?”(Amos 3:3). The power of teamwork can never be overemphasized. Even the acronym T.E.A.M can be understood to mean “Together Everyone Accomplishes More.” Winning alone can give you but a measure of growth but winning together inevitably results in exponential growth because everyone’s efforts experiences multiplication rather than addition. This is what the Scripture alludes to when we read that “one could chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight.” (Deut. 32:30).
In a soccer team, there are different players in different positions ranging from the defense through the midfield and attack. Each may have an individual set of objectives peculiar to his position, but the entire team has ONE primary objective: Win the game. By this, every player must understand that the goal is more important than his role, consequently, defenders attack during a corner kick while attackers defend during another corner kick. In the same vein, we must strive to achieve multiplication and unprecedented growth by “what every joint supplies.”(Ephesians 4:16). In the pursuit of purpose, never forget that synergy multiplies energy.
Heavenly Father, receive all the Glory, Honour and Praise. You have made us one and wired us up for multiplication. O Lord, please help us identify our team members and grant us the grace to achieve exceeding abundantly far above all we could ask or imagine. This is our humble request in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
•I am not a lone ranger. I belong to a team.
•I pursue after interdependence rather than independence.
•The corporate goal supercedes my personal role.
