LET GOD’S WORD GUIDE YOU

BIBLE READING: PSALMS 119:97-106

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall [a]direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6(NKJV).

God is our Father and we are His sons and daughters. The most vital proof that a relationship exists is that the relating parties communicate. When we pray, we not only speak to God; God also speaks back to us. Many Christians do not yet understand how one can hear from God. Yet God speaks to us in diverse ways every moment of the day.

To receive consistent guidance this year, make it a habit to obtain mercy and cleansing and render quality worship when you come to God in prayer. Then, spend some quiet moments in God’s presence to download what He has released to you from heaven. Don’t make your prayer a monologue in which you are the only one speaking. There are always guidance, instructions and directions God wants to communicate to you. This illumination from heaven is too vital to miss.

You can hear from God any time by studying the Bible. If you honour God’s word in the Bible and act in accordance with the guidance and inspiration they engender, you will be very successful in life. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Be sensitive to the signals the Holy Spirit will constantly present to you through the inner witness in your heart. You must note when the sign is that of peace and approval or that of discomfort and disapproval. God’s assurance is that He will never leave you nor forsake you and He will guide you all the way.

PRAYER POINTS:
• Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon your life and your household.

• Pray that leaders in families, Churches and nations will be sensitive and responsive to divine guidance.

CONFESSION:
Your word Oh Lord is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet. In You I stand secure always.
