THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST
BIBLE READING: DANIEL 12:1-3
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Cor. 5:10(KJV).
When Christ returns, the first thing that will happen after we are caught up to be with Him in the air is what we call the Judgment Seat of Christ.
It isn’t the kind of judgment that sinners will experience, rather, it will be a glorious experience where we shall be rewarded, for all that we did for the kingdom and for the sake of the gospel.
Missionaries who died in their mission fields, martyrs who paid the ultimate price for their faith, pastors who laboured faithfully even when underappreciated, parents who raised their children faithfully, men and women who served God in their little ways with love and faithfulness of heart. All will be brought to light and rewards given. O what a glorious day it will be to hear the Saviour welcome us into His presence saying, “Well done for serving faithfully.”
So as we serve, in whatever capacity, in whatever place, let us do it as to the Lord, knowing that we will get a reward for it if we are faithful.
1 Corinthians 3:13(KJV), Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
Lord Jesus, thank You for the opportunity to serve, and for the hope of the reward that we will get in glory. Help me serve faithfully and with all my heart and not as to men, but to God, in Jesus name.
